Terms of service

No-Seat is volunteer operations software: events, shifts, tasks, magic links, QR check-in, and waivers. Organizers sign in. Volunteers usually do not. You must be able to form a contract and use the service for lawful events.

We may change features, plan limits, or these terms. Material billing changes will be posted on this page and on pricing.

Starter is free and includes 1 live event, 25 volunteers, 8 shifts, and 15 tasks on that event. Organizer ($19/month or $190/year) includes 8 events, 150 volunteers, 40 shifts, and 60 tasks per event. Festival ($49/month or $490/year) is unlimited on those resources. Admins on our team are not capped.

Volunteers never pay a seat fee. Free resources on every plan include magic links, QR check-in, and waivers. If you hit a plan limit, upgrade or remove unused events before adding more.

Organizer and Festival include a 14-day free trial. Unless you cancel before the trial ends, Paddle charges the price you selected. Paddle is the merchant of record: they process payment, invoices, sales tax or VAT, and the customer portal.

Subscriptions renew monthly or yearly until cancelled. We sync Paddle webhooks into your No-Seat billing records so entitlements match the subscription status. See refunds and cancellations.

You are responsible for the events you create, the people you invite, waiver files you collect, and how you share magic links. Rotate a token if a link leaks. Do not use No-Seat to collect data you have no right to keep, to spam, or to run events that are illegal where you operate.

Volunteer emails are for running that event, not for unrelated marketing. More detail lives in our privacy policy and policies.

We work to keep No-Seat available for Saturday-morning check-in, but the service is provided as-is. We are not liable for missed shifts, lost volunteer lists that you did not export, or damages beyond the fees you paid us in the 12 months before a claim (or $50 if you are on Starter). Some places do not allow these limits; they apply to the extent permitted.
